Edit request: Fix dead link to Russian version of the Civil Code
[edit]The link for the Russian text of the Civil Code appears to lead to an error. One of the links on the WIPO page for the Russian Civil Code (as amended on June 29, 2009) or this consultant.ru page may work as an alternative.
As a side note, the relevant Civil Code may have been changed since the date given on the template (December 18, 2006.) --Gazebo (talk) 11:18, 18 August 2014 (UTC)

More compact template
[edit]{{Editprotected}} After this short discussion I think that template can be more compact without any loss of meaning for Wikicommons purposes.
Description of changes in Template:PD-RU-exempt/en/sandbox
- The reference for the Russian law was unifixed with other two main Russian templates (Template:PD-RusEmpire and Template:PD-Russia).
- Mention of paragraph 5 was removed - this statement is general for copyright laws and has no real, direct meaning for Wikicommons purposes.
- The comment about RF as legal successor for RSFSR and USSR was shorted.
- The comment about proposed docs and symbols was moved up.
- Links to texts of laws were removed. There is no problem to find these texts.

- Looks good to me (Alex is far more knowledgeable on their law, though I don't see anything substantive which changed). I would try to keep the links to the law though -- maybe inline the link with the textual reference to the law in the English and Russian localizations.
