Typo in template: The first line says Ads "[language]"
, but it should say Adds "[language]"
. 80.221.159.67 07:24, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
{{Edit request}} How about adding Template:Protected in <noinclude> in the template, or removing the protection? What links to Template:Internationalization template doc counts only the language templates, because this documentation template is not transcluded from other namespaces. 80.221.159.67 07:41, 23 August 2016 (UTC)
Wrapping in Template:Documentation
[edit]{{Edit request}} I've made an edit request for Template:en, but later realized, that wrapping using {{Documentation}} on pages which use Template:Internationalization template doc might not be the best option. Would it make sense to do wrapping with {{Documentation}} in this template instead? —andrybak (talk) 16:40, 7 June 2019 (UTC)
- Not done Wrapped on the {{En}} page. Seems to be working fine. --Majora (talk) 22:15, 6 July 2019 (UTC)
@Andrybak and Majora: Shouldn't this be done for all pages which use this documentation, not just {{En}}? Hyacinth (talk) 23:51, 18 August 2019 (UTC)

Please replace:
Text to be displayed. Please proceed the text with "1=", otherwise any "=" characters in the text will break the template.
with:
Text to be displayed. Please put "1=" before the text, otherwise any "=" characters in the text will break the template.
Explanation: "Proceed" is the wrong word. The author may have been thinking of "precede". (See Precede vs. proceed.) However, a straight substitution of "proceed" with "precede" still sounds awkward. I suggest that my proposed edit would be easier to understand. Thank you. – Wdchk (discussion) 01:37, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Wdchk: For me, “put before” sounds more awkward than “precede”. Probably “prepend ‘1=’ to the text”? I also don’t like using this prefix blindly all the time as it makes the wikitext look worse IMO, so what about “Text to be displayed. Prepend ‘1=’ to the text if it contains ‘=’ sign, otherwise no text will be displayed.”? —Tacsipacsi (talk) 18:03, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Tacsipacsi: "Prepend" would be OK – I think it is correct English – my only comment would be that it's not a common word, outside of specialist usage such as computer coding. My rationale for "put before" was, it might not be elegant, but it is correct and I felt it would more likely be understood by editors in an international project. However, "proceed" is just wrong, so I'm fine with any option that replaces "proceed". – Wdchk (discussion) 01:52, 15 May 2020 (UTC)
- @Wdchk: OK, I used “prepend”. If there is considerable support for anything else, I will change it, of course. (But that needs more people than just you and me…) —Tacsipacsi (talk) 21:06, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
