Template talk:Cultural Heritage Crimea

There are repeated attempts to change "Russia and Ukraine" into "Ukraine and Russia" in this template. I know there may be some political background behind it, but there is also one purely technical problem. The words "Russia and Ukraine" precede monument IDs, and the Russian ID goes first, it is also parameter 1= of the template, while the Ukrainian ID goes second as parameter 2=. While it would not be difficult to swap the parameters inside the template, one should also swap them in all Crimean photos in order to avoid confusion. Honestly, I have no time for doing this, and I think that ‎Fototraveller has to do this job before making changes to the template.

Alexander, could you take a look please? --Alexander (talk) 13:53, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reverted, and added template to watchlist. --A.Savin 13:58, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Russia

[edit]

@Atsirlin, Ahonc, and A.Savin: This template appears to be another version of Russia template so I suggested making it a redirect.Thank you ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2 (talk) 13:23, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean "another version"? AFAIK it is a different template, Crimea status is disputed and Crimean objects should not use exclusively Russian template. --A.Savin 14:00, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@A.Savin: I mean it's the same link (same ID) ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2 (talk) 14:13, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So what? It is important that the legal status is mentioned in the template. It is not to be replaced by Russia-only Cultural Heritage template. --A.Savin 14:17, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
