Template-protected edit request on 7 February 2021
[edit]{{Edit request}} Could the template code please be replaced by the code from sandbox. I have made a few tonal changes in wording, following a request at the main talk page of this template. (Diff between sandbox and main template) WT79 (talk) 18:16, 7 February 2021 (UTC)
- @WT79: I’m a bit confused by the “or by seeing the contents” part. Help:Contents is the general help portal or overview page, as far as I understand – is it really useful to link here? And what does “seeing the contents” refer to – the contents of the image, or something else? For now I’ve edited the template but left out that part (it should still be an improvement, and the rest can still be added later.) --Lucas Werkmeister (talk) 18:59, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Lucas Werkmeister: Probably fine as is — I mostly copied code from a suggestion at Template talk:Check categories, and that bit was in the suggested code there and I sort of tried to make it look sensible. I'd assumed that Help:Contents was a overview of the entire wiki, like a sort of umbrella category listing all top categories – hadn't looked at it much and just assumed. Having looked a bit more, I agree that it is irrelevant and unnecessary. WT79 (talk) 10:20, 11 February 2021 (UTC)
