Hi, the template is a good idea, but there are some problems: for usernames as mine (Mattia Luigi Nappi), which are composed by blanks too, the template makes some mistakes.

[edit]

The first problem is with the URL for SUL link, which admits only underscore ( _ ) types among the words of the username.

This is what results from my vote if I write Mattia Luigi Nappi:

Mattia Luigi Nappi (contribs - SUL) 11:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

it finds only Mattia.

Instead, if I write Mattia_Luigi_Nappi, it results right:

Mattia_Luigi_Nappi (contribs - SUL) 11:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

For AccountEligibility there is a similar problem: it wants only plus (+) types, not blanks nor underscores!

This is what results from my vote if I write Mattia Luigi Nappi:

Mattia Luigi Nappi (contribs - SUL) 11:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

it finds only Mattia.

Instead, if I write Mattia_Luigi_Nappi, it results however wrong (click to verify):

Mattia_Luigi_Nappi (contribs - SUL) 11:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

the username Mattia_Luigi_Nappi doesn't exist...

But, if I write Mattia+Luigi+Nappi, it results right:

Mattia+Luigi+Nappi (contribs - SUL) 11:08, 14 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

but it makes bugs for the wiki-link...

Another question

[edit]

Another little question: how can we delist the vote if it results not eligible? I can't imagine a solution to easily delist an uneligible voter from the numbered list. Do you have some ideas?

Thank you, Nappy. Your comments are very helpful!
The simpler, the better. Replacing with "_" may be simpler than with "+". Let's give up the Eligibility tool in the template, and request people with spaces in their username to replace their spaces with "_". Even if they wouldn't notice our request, still we can copy&paste their accurate username more easily than Round 1.
Let me see...First I removed Eligibility "#" from the template.
Then replaced the Eligibility link with Commons contriburion (199 edits by 2009-02-11):
  1. Aaa (contribs - SUL) 00:54, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Bbb b b (contribs - SUL) 00:54, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  2. Cc_c_c (contribs - SUL) 00:54, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    Ddd+d+d (contribs - SUL) 00:54, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Does it work now?--miya (talk) 00:54, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, now with underscores everything is ok, thankyou! --sNappy 18:05, 17 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
