As a user box for users who have uploaded one or more own photos to Commons.

Correct work with some languages, have more than one plural form.

To add your language to the list of languages supported by this template, please copy the code of Template:User own photos/en (or any other language version you prefer to translate) and replace the text strings in there (the form below can be used to create a translation, the English version is preloaded in the edit box). Please change the parameter lang from en (or whatever language you are translating) to the language code of your language.


Parameter objname consists of several parts (2, 3 or 4 - depending of language), separated by symbol "/":

  • first part contains singular form
  • second part contains plural form
  • third part contains second plural form (used in some language, for most of languages can be omitted)
  • fourth part contains text for empty or zero number (at most of languages coincides with the second part and can be omitted)

Examples:

  • English: /file/files
  • Russian: /файл/файла/файлов/файлы

Usage

Without any parameters you would get:

This user has uploaded own photos to Commons.

Customizing the displayed number

If you want to specify the number of uploaded files you could do that this way:

{{User own photos|42}}
{{User own photos|number=42}}

This user has uploaded 42 own photos to Commons.

It can be used as a live counter, if all the files have been categorized to a suitable user category:

{{User own photos|category=Photographs by Alvesgaspar}}

This user has uploaded 3992 own photos to Commons.

You can also subtract a constant if you need e.g. some subcategories not to be counted:

{{User own photos|category=Photographs by Alvesgaspar|subtract=5}}

This user has uploaded 3987 own photos to Commons.

Customizing the appereance

You can also change the color scheme of the userbox:

If you want you can display your username in this userbox:

Some languages distinguish between the gender of the user. If your language doesn't you can look at the example with the German interface.
