Usage

{{PD-USGov-NWS-employee}}

Use this template only for files created by employees of the National Weather Service in the course of their official duties. Typical examples include

  • weather maps and charts, infographics, radar and satellite images published on weather.gov, on other NWS web content, or on NWS social media channels and which are not attributed to any third party
  • photographs published on weather.gov, on other NWS web content, or on NWS social media channels and which are explicitly and directly credited to the NWS or one of its employees

Do not use this tag for

  • files on weather.gov, on other NWS web content, or on NWS social media channels that are attributed to any third party (even if the file is released into the public domain)
  • files credited to the NWS on third-party websites such as news websites.
Do not assume that a lack of attribution on a NWS website means that a file was created by an NWS employee. NWS websites host a large amount of third party content contributed under a variety of different terms and conditions.

The template takes no parameters.
