The template becomes useful when special actions, as e.g. the protection flag, should occur differently from the original or the sandbox page.
Because there is no namespace for sandboxes, an analyzing of the pagename is necessry.

Parameter m
With an m
greater than the default value 1
, more titleparts can be removed, e.g. for xxxx/sandbox/en.
Parameter b
With this parameter the variable "PAGENAME" can be prefixed; the value is case-insensitive.
