Template:Category intro/doc
Template to be put at the start of a category that generates an introduction based on the type of category.
- If the category is linked to a "normal" (non-category) Wikidata, grab the data, otherwise try to follow the redirect
- Overwrite all the interwiki links so that these link to Wikipedia articles instead of categories
Based on the context, some (wiki)text gets generated. This is modular and with a decision tree so we can expand and improve it over time. Some options:
- Is a creator (has Commons Creator page (P1472)): Show the creator page
- Is a institution (has Commons Institution page (P1612)): Show the institution page
- Is a work of art (split up)
- Is a location (split up)
- Is a taxon
- Is a human
Probably a lot of the templates being used on categories can be re-used in this.
Later we can worry about intersected categories like Category:Churches in Haarlem
