The trademark application

[edit]

Several sculptures from Gustav Vigelands production was attempted registered as trademarks by Oslo Municipality, Cultural Affairs (Oslo kommune, Kulturetaten) after they was no longer protected by the Norwegian copyright law (Åndsverksloven). Several of those cases (all?) was then put on hold pending an decision on the case about the sculpture Sinnataggen. The case 201207491 at Norwegian Industrial Property Office (Patentstyret) would then end up with 201207491A as its core decision, which was then subsequently made public Aug. 5th 2014 with a letter to the applicant (in Norwegian, English translation [1]). There is an appeal period running up to Oct. 5th 2014. See also Sinnataggen er fritt vilt for some background on the case. Jeblad (talk) 14:11, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
