[edit]

Please can some one translate the word spang into german language? Is it the german word Steg?

Probably, according to my German-Swedish dictionary de:Steg does have this meaning (among others). In the Scandinavian languages Spång/Spang/Klopp means a very simple bridge of typically two logs (or logs splitted into two halfs), put across a creek or a bog, and than often peaces of boards nailed between the logs to make the construction more convenient to walk on.
