As this fantastic gallery already is very large, and as there are more pictures to add, I suggest that we divide it into several galleries, based on the gallery principles found at The Library of Congress exhibition "The Empire Thas Was Russia", i.e. "Arcitecture", "Ethnic diversity", 'Transportation" and "People at work". Unless someone objects, I'll try to do so in the next few days. Thomas Blomberg 13:42, 12 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sprinkling in articles?

[edit]

I just found out about this gentleman's very interesting work (much of which falls into PD). Has anyone done some legwork to see where these great location/historical photos can be inserted into Wikipedia articles? 72.25.133.242 17:01, 31 July 2006 (UTC) ("Bobak" on wikipedia)[reply]

I've done that some. I went through some of the pictures and made sure that they each appeared in an article on the English Wikipedia. However, I didn't finish, and haven't worked on it since last year.—Nat Krause 18:45, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
