Ahmad Zahir was an ethnic Pashtun
[edit]It is well known in Afghanistan that Ahmad Zahir was an ethnic Pashtun. Nobody claimed he was Pashai, Tajik or other. Here is a link to The New York Times, where it clearly states that he was an ethnic Pashtun. "An ethnic Pashtun who sang mostly in Dari, he won fans in all ethnic groups."
