Essential languages

Aside from English, the essential language for category and file descriptions is Mandarin Chinese. Please make sure all images and files related to this have Mandarin Chinese descriptions in both Simplified and Traditional scripts. Because both Malaysia and Mainland China use Simplified script, put simplified first. Malaysia Airlines puts its announcements about this flight in English and Mandarin, and therefore these are the two essential languages.

If you want to add, or request the addition of, more languages, I recommend Malay and Tamil. Malay is the national language of Malaysia, and Tamil is spoken by the ethnic Indians in Malaysia. WhisperToMe (talk) 09:26, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
