[edit]

Spanish is the highest priority language other than English. Los Angeles has a history of being a Mexican settlement and in the late 20th Century and early 21st Century it has received large numbers of Mexican and Salvadoran immigrants beside a large number of South Americans.

The Los Angeles Unified School District has published materials in the following languages other than English and Spanish: Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Armenian, Persian, and Vietnamese.

In addition there are Japanese, Chinese, Ethiopian, and Thai immigrant areas and communities. WhisperToMe (talk) 20:58, 6 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
