Concerning the included image "IronInRockMake RiverRed.jpg": What is its relation to banded iron formations? So far as I know, the iron ores of Rio Tinto are sulfidic and the river ist coloured by oxidic iron compounds formed by bacterial oxidation of the iron sulfides. --Brudersohn (talk) 20:43, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
