I just saw, that the Indian Fritillary is sometimes called Argynnis hyperbius (eg on the english Wikipedia and sometimes Argyreus hyperbius (or in wikispecies)... --Anna reg 23:04, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They appear to be synonyms, since both Argynnis and Argyreus are valid genera. I've even seen it with a subgenus: Argynnis (Argyreus) hyperbius. Argynnis seems to be the most common, however if the name has anything to do with Papilio argyrius (an old synonym by Linnaeus, 1768) then Argyreus makes more sense (that's also what funet goes with [1]). en.wp has Argynnis so I guess we'll keep it at that.
