SS Grosser Kurfürst

SS Grosser Kurfürst or Großer Kurfürst was a ship of Norddeutscher Lloyd/North German Lloyd launched in 1899. The ship was seized by the United States during World War I and was renamed USS Aeolus or Æolus (ID-3005) and served as a troopship. After the war ended she was known as SS Aeolus and sailed between New York and South America, and, later, as SS City of Los Angeles, sailing between Los Angeles and Honolulu
