Södra Åsums kyrka was built in the 19th century to replace the medieval Södra Åsum Old Church that was getting too small. It is located just outside the town of w:Sjöbo in Skåne in Sweden.

It is an example of the so-called (New) w:Gothic architecture that in Sweden was known as Eslöv Gotik, from the town of w:Eslöv, that was used in building many towering churches in Skåne, often using the red bricks that was used when building the original Swedish Gothic churches in the 13th and 14th century, such as Sankt Petri kyrka, Malmö and Sankta Maria kyrka, Ystad.

Other prominent Scanian New Gothic churches from the 19th century are Lunds Allhelgonakyrka and Tranås kyrka , but there are probably over 40 more.
