English: Routemaster bus RML2593 "Bessie" (reg. F 124 G, ex-JJD 593D) was delivered to London Transport in November 1966. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Iveco) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of London General. London General's last two Routemaster routes, the 14 and 22, ceased using the type on 22 July 2005, after which RML2593 was transferred to the company's commercial services fleet, based out of Camberwell (Q) garage. In November 2005 it was sold to dealer Ensignbus, who a month later sold it to the Falkland Islands Company, who exported it to the islands for use by their Penguin Travel tourism division. Having been given the local registration plate F 124 G and named "Bessie", it's been put to use giving tours of the capital, Stanley, as the London Vintage Double Decker City Tour. For this it wears prominent Penguin Travel fleetnames and route branding detailing the points called at - Visitor Centre - West Store - Upland Goose - Government House - Museum.
