English: Routemaster bus RML2551 (reg. JJD 551D) was delivered to London Transport in July 1966. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Cummins) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of London Central, who branded it for use on route 12. It was finally withdrawn from service in November 2004, when route 12 lost its Routemasters. In December it was sold to a Newcastle upon Tyne based individual as part of the Ensign Bus Routemaster Raffle. It has since appeared at several rallies in the north east, still in London Central livery, but with the route 12 branding being gradually removed.
