English: Routemaster bus RML2389 (reg. JJD 389D) was delivered to London Transport in December 1965. As with all RML buses, in the early 1990s it was re-engined (Iveco) and refurbished. It saw continual use in London into the privatisation era, passing in 1994 into the fleet of London General (leased from London Buses). In 2002 it recieved another new engine (Cummins), aswell as a new transmission and catalytic converter system. In 2003 it was returned to London Buses, who re-assigned it to Metroline for further use, and after a brief period of storage, in September 2004 it was finally withdrawn form service and stored, after the conversion of route 390 away from Routemasters. In February 2005 it was bought by Timebus Travel, who refurbished it and fitted a PA system, for use on private hires and tours. Timebus factsheet
