English: Routemaster bus RM1871 / SRM7 (reg. ALD 871B) was delivered to London Transport in March 1964, as an ordinary red Routemaster, RM1871. In 1977 it was one of a number of London buses painted in a special silver livery, to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II, with sponsorship from Exide Batteries. In this livery, it was renumbered SRM7. It was repainted red and returned to its original number by the end of the year. It remained in London service until withdrawn in November 1984, after which it saw further public transport use outside London in the fleets of Southampton Citybus, (No. 416), Southend Transport (No. 113) and Watford & District. In 1997 it was purchased by private hire operator Timebus Travel, who returned it to a silver scheme, marketing it as their 'Silver Routemaster'. While being similar to the original Jubilee scheme, namely as a silver base with red relief lines, the Timebus scheme contrasts to the London Transport Jubilee scheme in that it features four red relief lines (mirroring the white lines used on their standard red livery), while the London scheme simply changed the single the mid-level line to red (from the normal white). The Timebus scheme also doesn't feature the solid red LT roundel and Jubilee logo/wording used on the original. In early 2017, RM1871/SRM7 was acquired by Expeditional.
