Recovery from a 2nd degree burn

This burn was the result of me poring boiling water over my own hand accidentally. It happened in the evening and hurt a lot. I had a lot of trouble getting asleep that evening since the wound would start to feel burning hot when I wasn't holding it under running water. But when I woke up the next morning, it was already a lot better. It didn't hurt constantly and was only painful when touched during the next 4 days or so.
