English: The Nederlands Instituut voor Militaire Historie (NIMH) is the institute within the Dutch Ministry of Defense for research into and information on Dutch military history. The Institute offers a library with more than 70.000 books and 1750 titles of periodicals and other documentation, publishes academic research and maintains a growing online image database. In August 2017, 1142 aerial photographs of the Netherlands from the pre-war period 1920-1940 were uploaded to Wikimedia Commons from the NIMH image database. As of Fall 2017, these photographs are the main part of the images made available to Commons by the NIMH. They can be found within the category Category:Media donated by Nederlands Instituut voor Militaire Historie.
