MediaWiki:UserMessages.js, MediaWiki:UserMessages-dev.js, and this one. And can someone who won't break it make it stop adding the /en suffix? These are all currently redirected just because of this script. Rocket000 (talk) 06:38, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Derivativenote

I came here to ask inclusion of {{Derivativenote}} (I don't dare editing the code myself...) but I realized that it looks like it's already there. However, I don't see it in my links... anyone care to take a look? Patrícia msg 20:50, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Inclusion request

Could {{No fair use}} be included in the list of message templates? Thanks in advance, --Eusebius (talk) 10:18, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

Wikinews use

Just wanted to say thanks for the script, we use it at wikinews (n:mediawiki:Gadget-UserMessages.js). We've also made some minor changes to integerate it with vector. Just thought i'd mention it in case you guys are interested in the modifications we've made. Cheers. Bawolff (talk) 00:24, 1 December 2009 (UTC)

bug since vector ?

When trying to use this gadget, the following error message is displayed on top of page?
ReferenceError: ta is not defined http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:Gadget-UserMessages.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript&268z49 (238)
can this ta['id'] be safely commented out?

This script uses "addLink", where it should probably overload "addPortletLink" if it wants to do anything special. It also defines some things that are available trough the JS variables. In other words; This thing is dated and needs some work. I'm on it. TheDJ (talk) 13:28, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Fixed here: User:TheDJ/usermessages.js. And someone should really do something about the multiple copies issue as listed at the top. TheDJ (talk) 13:44, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Have tested your script, everything is working perfectly. I just wonder could it be possible to alter code so that on "Protect Scope" execution it wouldn't just paste generic {{subst:scope}} but pop up a window asking for a link to the Gallery or File, because now when dealing with a lot of wiki style/promotional galleries I have to manually enter {{subst:scope|page_name}}, rather than using generic template --Justass (talk) 14:30, 9 April 2010 (UTC)

Since the script existed in two locations, I've moved the script to MediaWiki:UserMessages.js where it has been longer then here. Please post anything related to the script itself over there, issues about the "Gadget"-part over here. –Krinkletalk 17:26, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
