Also it stores this data in a central localtion, so it is easy to change something there and have the new version show up multiple pages. A template can be called by placing it's name between double curly brackets ( The AbuseFilter has detected that your edit attempts to make such a "template call" to a title that isn't a template at all but to something else (ie. an internet address).
