Lothian Buses: training fleet

English: The fleet of driver training buses operated by Lothian Buses. The company sources its trainers from vehicles withdrawn from the standard fleet. Once transferred, they retain their company fleetnumbers, but with the prefix TB added to distinguish them from later arrivals. As of 2013 the fleet consists of three from the X-registered Dennis Trident / Plaxton President double-decker fleet (fitted with on board classrooms), and three from the 52-reg batch of the Dennis Dart SLF / Plaxton Pointer single decker fleet. The first version of training bus livery was allover yellow, with the standard Lothian fleetname, but also the company name 'Lothian Buses' and the more prominent slogan 'Drive a BUS with US', all in red lettering. Since the transition to Lothianbuses.com fleetname, the first new additions, the X-reg Tridents, are liveried in a lighter yellow, with the .com fleetname (not replaced in the TfE era).
