English: Double-decker buses operated by Lothian Buses. Like its predecessor Lothian Region Transport, the double-decker is the main type used by the company, although the single-decker fleet increased in size under Lothian.

Step-entrance double-deckers

[edit]

Lothian inherited several step-entrance types from its predecessor, Lothian Region Transport. The last step entrance double-decker ran in normal service in 2009. The last (non-vintage) step entrance types of buses remained with the company until 2011 with the tour bus fleet.

Low-floor double-deckers

[edit]

Since 1999 (a year before Lothian's creation), all new double-deckers purchased by the company have been low-floor types.

Vintage double-deckers

[edit]

A small number of vintage buses were inherited with the purchase of the Mac Tours business in 2002. The vintage fleet has since been consolidated on the Routemaster fleet.
