English: The 52 registration (SK52 Oxx) batch of the Dennis Trident / Plaxton President fleet of buses operated by Lothian Buses. A total of 22 were delivered in November and December 2002. Fleet numbering began at 635, leaving a gap of five numbers in the Trident series (the 51 reg batch having ended at 630). No.s 645 & 652-6 were for the airport fleet, delivered in Airlink livery. The remainder were for the standard fleet, being delivered in the simplified version of Harlequin livery, the first Tridents to do so. The Airlink buses were later cascaded to the main fleet, receiving simplified Harlequin too. Some have lasted in service long enough to receive Classic livery, variously receiving 'Lothian Buses.com' fleetname or TfE style 'Lothian Buses' fleetname or one then the other. No. 656 was later renumbered 634 as a result of being at the end of a cascade of re-numberings triggered by the re-numbering of 04-reg Tridents (No.s 666 and 701-6) - see listing for full details. One bus (651) has been painted into a special livery for use on the boat bus tour. Five buses (635-639) were transferred to the East Lothian fleet, resulting in various livery changes.

East Lothian buses
[edit]No.s 635-639 were the buses temporarily allocated to the new East Lothian fleet, being repainted out of Harlequin into allover white and receiving eastLothianbuses.com fleetnames. Once new buses arrived for the operation, 635/6 were retained and given the full green/cream livery, while the remaining three returned to the main fleet, receiving Classic livery.
