English: City Sightseeing Edinburgh is one of the various tour bus services operated by Lothian Buses. It was launched in 2000 when Lothian decided to re-brand its own tour operation, the tartan/white liveried Edinburgh Classic Tour, as a City Sightseeing franchise. Accordingly, the buses were repainted into the red City Sightseeing livery, with 'Edinburgh Tour' fleetnames. In 2004, the fleetnames were changed to 'City Sightseeing Edinburgh', with the Edinburgh portion given less prominence to the main City Sightseeing name. It is operated with Dennis Trident low-floor double-deckers from the open top fleet (listed below), including the four that Lothian bought new in 1999. At least two step-entrance Olympian/RH's were also used in the early years, since withdrawn.
  • 501-5: 1999 (T-SSG) Dennis Trident / Alexander ALX400 (conversions, ex-main fleet)
  • 506-8: 1999 (T-SSG) Dennis Trident / Plaxton President (conversions, ex-main fleet)
  • 531-534 (ex 31-34): 2000 (W-PSX) Dennis Trident / Plaxton President (from new)
