Henrique Capriles Radonski (Spanish pronunciation: [enˈrike kaˈpɾiles raˈðonski]) is a Venezuelan politician and lawyer, co-founder the political party Primero Justicia, and currently serving as 36th Governor of Miranda. Born in Caracas on 11 July 1972, he ran successfully for the mayorship of the Baruta municipality in July 2000 and October 2004. On November 2008, he successfully ran for the governorship of Miranda, defeating incumbent Diosdado Cabello; he was re-elected as governor in December 2012 after losing the presidential elections against Hugo Chávez in October. In 2013, he ran again for president against Nicolás Maduro after Chávez's death. He was narrowly defeated.
