Proposed fungi ID - Hemistropharia albocrenulata

I believe the mushrooms are hemistropharia albocrenulata. I've never heard of an amanita mushroom with tufted caps like that, and definitely not fly agaric. @Richard Avery you mentioned doubts about the amanita muscaria ID - any thoughts on my proposal? Photos of hemistropharia are generally more orange/rust, but this photo could've been digitally manipulated. Ohlookitsthebard (talk) 15:47, 7 September 2022 (UTC)

@Ohlookitsthebard I think you are probably right. There is quite a lot of variation in images on line but the nearest is hemistropharia albocrenulata. the characteristic tufts in that form don't seem to appear on other hemistropharia. The colour is a problem but as you say it may have been subject to post-editing. Richard Avery (talk) 15:34, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
