Identification

A crop of this photo is also here with the ship identified as the Duymaer Van Twist (built 1905), but the porthole patterns on the side don't seem to match the ones in the photos of that ship being scuttled (which would almost certainly be that ship), so that seems doubtful. There were a series of similar ships -- the Baud, Van Den Bosch, Camphuys, and Rochussen. There is one photo which looks very much like this on both the Van Den Bosch and Camphuys pages, but it can't be both ships, and it's possible the ships are close enough that they are hard to identify even for that site, which makes it hard to be sure (and some ships had few or no photos of this side of the ship).
