Well I don't think I "changed" anything without talking. I normally don't do summaries for images before someone disputes what I do. I saw what I did as improvements. You just suddenly reverted without an explanation or having voiced any opinion beforehand. - but let's talk about what's important:

I don't think the lion on looks "horrible". The lion design you reverted (along with other improvements, such as the shield's new border) I didn't create randomly by hand. It was carefully traced from . - Ssolbergj (talk) 20:43, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And the lion you say is "clearly better" does look fine per se. Hut it's obviously designed as a supporter, and therefore IMO doesn't look very nice when it's leaning rightwards and clutching a non-existing shield. That, as well as the genuinity of the lion design on File:Belgie_klein.jpg, were the main reasons why I introduced another lion on the flag. - Ssolbergj (talk) 20:45, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please, do not try to play the innocent. When I reverted your last edition, asking you to go to the discussion page, you should have done that, instead of starting a war edition. Also, the lion you drew is far from the original one, of the JPG. And it does not have the obligation to be the same, as an enthusiast in Heraldry should know. I am the designer of the other lion, based on an image of Belgian arms once seen somewhere else, and it was not designed to be only a supporter. Your work on the shield is very fine and I make no objection about it, but the lion is just inappropriate. All the best. --Tonyjeff (talk) 17:50, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Play the innocent"? Please tell me where you asked me to go to the talk page. In file history, the edit summary of your first revert intervention reads simply "(Reverted to version as of 00:57, 27 March 2009)". In my opinion, the SVG lion I traced is as good as it gets taking the original jpg design into consideration. I know there is an infinite number of possible designs since we're talking about heraldry, but since I don't think it looks crap, I'm in favour of using the trace of File:Belgie_klein.jpg lion on the flag. Your design is already used for the supporters, and I do honestly think it looks like a supporter. We obviously don't agree, but I'll revert for now because when I brought the new lion in, I also made a new border for the shield. Also, my last version was the status quo.
I just don't understand why you think the lion design is OK when it's used as the centrepiece of File:Coats of arms of Belgium Government.svg but hate it when it's placed on such a small flag in this file. - Ssolbergj (talk) 19:57, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great job on the newest version, Ssolbergj. The devil looks a bit out of place now, because he's monotone with the red as lining. You probably were going to update that soon, but I'm saying it just so you don't forget or something. Keep up the awesome work! Adelbrecht (talk) 10:53, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. The devil has now been fixed. - Ssolbergj (talk) 00:17, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The decorative rope on the right flag is missing. On the things that hang, one of them is missing. 68.98.191.236 20:50, 1 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
