Is is possible to publish the data used in this map in vector format?

I am currently working on an article about the history of map making. It would be great to be able to access the data presented in the map of streetview coverage in a vector format. That would make it possible to overlay the data with some of the historical map production data im working with. I will make sure to cite the data correctly of course.

Is it possible to get the data for this map in vector format?

By country representation misleading

The colouring of large areas of the globe by country is rather misleading. For example it's true that Canada has thorough coverage of populated areas, but the fact is that most of Canada is uninhabited as shown in [image]. The same is true for many other parts of the globe: Russia, Antarctica, Austria, etc. What would be more useful would be a map showing the density of coverage, regardless of political boundary.

Map Legend "Mostly full coverage" regarding Argentina and some other countries

Same as the other countries that have mostly full coverage, Argentina has it, its not full, but its not just partial.

In order to understand this, you can also see any other county with same "mostly full coverage" tag and you will see is very close to Argentina coverage.

Clear examples: Canada, Chile, Australia I put this because i see that some editors (even asking other user to do the change for them.) did remove mostly full coverage from Argentina and replace it as partial, which isnt the case, i belive they dont understand that mostly full coverage means (that may be due to error on the map Legend translations, thats why i fixed the spanish translation some time ago wich used to state that the dark blue coverage color represented "full coverage" (such coverage not even the USA has on the map) and now states that the dark blue is "mostly full coverage".

AFAIK on the map the legend that includes "Mostly" means: that most of the country roads and streets are covered, not every single one, but mostly.

example: 1% to 70% sounds like "partial coverage", and something like avobe 90% up untill 99% sounds much more like "mostly full coverage".

Since there is no definition of % at this particular case my experience brownsing at google street view plus the info at google street view official website, i see that Argentina has "mostly full coverage".

Please if anyone disagree regarding the coverage of google street view at Argentina as mostly full coverage. Please look at the other countries that have the same "mostly full coverage" tag and you wil see a very similar scenario as Argentina, maybe USA has a better coverage.

Please if you belive that this is wrong, explain it, comparing the coverage at Argentina (or the other country with mostly full coverage you want to discuss) to any other country you want to compare it. (ideally other than USA, since USA has the largest coverage at least for a large country).

I find this map surprising and difficult to believe. First of all it should be stated what "completion" is in this context. I don't think every unpaved road in Sakha or Nunavut is going to be covered, so both Russia and Canada could hardly be ever complete. This could also apply to Australia, Brazil, China, India and the USA, to name a few big countries. My own experience with Spain is that many small villages have a partial coverage, a few none at all, outside the main road. I cannot believe that there is serious consideration of completely covering Mali, a country with large unsafe areas. B25es (talk) 08:10, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

As I said at en:Talk:Coverage of Google Street View, these are point views of selected attractions. Pakistan has no coverage at all of its streets, just a handful of these "see inside" points. Ivanvector (talk) 19:31, 25 August 2015 (UTC)
