Usage of a screenshot of this video as a portrait image

Hi! I want to renew the image of Arve Juritzen used on nowiki, and I imagine I could get a decent one out of this video from Skeivt Arkiv. Is it "legal" to upload a screenshot of this video as a derivative work for use on Wikidata?--EdoAug (talk) 16:40, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi @EdoAug: That is totally legal as it is a freely licensed work, but it has to corresponde with the license, in this case CC BY 3.0. - Premeditated (talk) 11:40, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

Do I have to include the information about who originally shot the video, and the changes, on a Wikipedia project where it would be used, or is it fine if it's available on Commons (and then transcribed to nowiki)?--EdoAug (talk) 12:31, 9 November 2021 (UTC)

@EdoAug: You should upload the screenshot here on Commons for usage on other Wikimedia projects, like Wikidata and Wikipedia. An example of how it could be done is from THIS video where it has been made a screenshot like THIS one. Best is to keep the original license from the source and to use the Template:Extracted from.
