Clean code

{{Edit request}} Here's a version of the flag with a bit less bytes. It would be good if this file could be overwritten by that one. – GeMet [talk] 12:56, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

@GeMet: One of the strengths of SVG is that very few lines of markup can generate the wanted graphics while still remaining human readable. The current file contains all the necessary components of valid SVG markup while also being readable and easy to edit. The suggested file, however, is very difficult to parse and difficult to edit without a graphical tool. Therefore it is not worth the 143 bytes saved to replace Flag of Norway.svg with Norges flagga.svg. Gutten på Hemsen (talk) 02:35, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
I made mine with a text editor and I'm not a professional. And I don't think <rect width="22" height="16" fill="#ba0c2f"/> is easier than <path fill="#ba0c2f" d="M0,0H22V16H0Z"/>. You still have to know SVG code in both cases. Even if some think the current is easier to edit, why is easiness better than small size? It will probably just sit here for a number of years before someone wants to change colo(u)r or finds a way to make it lighter. Med vennlig hilsen – GeMet [talk] 13:42, 14 May 2021 (UTC)

@GabrCAL: To change the color codes of the flag, please elaborate on why this should be done. Gutten på Hemsen (talk) 19:55, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
