I made a couple changes to the description of this image since running these simulations myself in matlab. For one thing, the circle map is already mod 1 itself, and is described as such both in the article Arnold Tongue and in here. Calculating Poincare recurrence time mod 1 as well does not yield the results plotted, however calculating it without the mod 1 does, so I deleted that. Also, using epsilon=.003 does not yield the results stated and plotted, but a smaller epsilon, .0001, does, so I changed that too. Eflatmajor7th (talk) 04:19, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
