Two identical copies of “Fípan Fagra”?

[edit]

According to a travel blog, there is an identical (or at least, most similar) statue in Klaksvík. It was created by Hans Pauli Olsen, with the title “Fípan Fagra”. The website of Kunstnerhuset Classensgade (Copenhagen) confirms the artist's authorship. According to Wikipedia articles (da, de), the statue was made in 2008.

The present photo, on the other hand, was taken a few kilometres NW of Tórshavn along Oyggjarvegur. So, the question is, how do the two statues relate to each other? Are they two replicas made from the same model (i.e. the artist had two identical casts made by the bronze foundry)? Or which other explanation is there? -- Martinus KE (talk) 20:34, 1 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
