Discrete 2D random walk?

Might this type of random walk be better termed a "discrete 2D random walk" to distinguish it from the continuous version? I'm not sure what the standard terminology here is, if any, especially if the number of adjacent cells are to be noted. Perhaps "8-way discrete 2D random walk". I suppose "Lattice random walk" is the term I wanted. I still see multiple types of this being possible (e.g., versions where the possible steps are all the same distance from the current location, versions where they are not, etc.) Jason Quinn (talk) 06:35, 15 October 2012 (UTC)
