English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
The fourth six-day race after the war in Amsterdam in the RAI (exhibition building), where 22 cyclists cross 4000km in 145 hours, with a.o. Peter Post and the organisor Kurt Vyth. Between 5am and 12pm and between 5pm and 7pm they ride slower, during these periods cyclists read a newspaper or steer their bike with their feet. Also masseurs massaging the cyclists, mechanics repairing the bicycles and the caravans where the cyclists sleep.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.
De vierde naoorlogse zesdaagse van Amsterdam in de RAI, waarbij de 22 renners in 145 uur een afstand van ongeveer 4000km rijden, met oa de 30-jarige Peter Post en organisator Kurt Vyth. Tussen vijf uur 's ochtends en twaalf uur 's middags en tussen vijf uur 's middags en zeven uur 's avonds wordt er rustig gereden, waarbij wielrenners een krant lezen en met een voet de fiets sturen. Met verder masseurs die de renners masseren, mecaniciens die de fietsen repareren en de caravans waarin de wielrenners overnachten. |
