Description
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented. – The Zeeland agriculture days, where draught horses and cattle are presented, are held in Axel in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. SHOTS: - Vast Zeeland landscape with cows and horses; - farmers and farm labourers pitch hay on a cart; horses pull the full cart to the entrance of an enormous barn; - on the premises of the farm a horse walks into a shallow pool of water and starts drinking; farm labourers and farmers groom horses and cows; - people, some in traditional attire, approach in a long line across a country road; - several shots of a cattle exhibition: on a outside terrain a large crowd has gathered, some in Zeeland traditional attire, that look at the trotting and presenting of the horses and cows; inspector takes notes.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd. – In Axel in Zeeuws-Vlaanderen worden de Zeeuwse landbouwdagen gehouden waarbij trekpaarden en rundvee worden gepresenteerd. SHOTS: - Weids Zeeuws landschap met koeien en paarden; - boeren/boerenkenechten steken hooi op op een kar; paarden trekken de volle kar de ingang van een reusachtige schuur binnen; - op het erf van een boerderij loopt een paard een ondiepe plas water in en begint te drinken; boerenknechten en boeren roskammen paarden en koeien; - mensen, sommigen in klederdracht, komen in een lange rij aanlopen over een buitenweg; - div. shots van een veetentoonstelling: op een buitenterrein heeft zich veel publiek, sommigen in Zeeuwse klederdracht, verzameld dat kijkt naar het voordraven en voorgeleiden van paarden en koeien; keurmeesters maken notities.
