Animation of larval Zebrafish reaction to the forced movement of otoliths
Summary
[edit]DescriptionZebrafish.webm |
{{en%7CAnimation of Zebrafish reaction to the forced movement of otoliths by optical traps. Utricular otolith is a small calcium carbonate structure which is a part of vestibular sensory system. An single optical trap is focused on each otolith. When the lasers are on the otoliths are displaced towards the beam center. This simulates vestibular stimuli in living larval zebrafish. The simulation describes one of the experiments in https://doi.org/10.1038/s41467-017-00713-2.}} |
