Summary
[edit]DescriptionYeso Group.jpg |
English: This image is taken at the Red Rocks rest stop in Canyon de San Diego just north of Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico, USA. The lower massive beds (just above the trees) are of the De Chelly Sandstone, while the upper, thinner beds are the San Ysidro Formation. The very top of the mesa is Glorieta Sandstone (not part of the Yeso Group). The Yeso Group and the overlying Glorieta Sandstone were laid down in the Kungurian Age of the lower Permian. |
