English: Wood near Sharperton This wood, which is mainly of silver birch, lies alongside the unclassified road to Harbottle, just west of Sharperton in the valley of the River Coquet, Coquetdale. The river, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) for its entire length, is off camera about 300m to the right, and the wood may be at least in part ancient woodland. |
