English: Womack Wood, Buildings Farm, Syderstone Woodland of 5.30 hectares planted in November 2002 by Ringer Family Trust of mostly broadleaved native trees (predominately oak, sweet chestnut, beech and ash). Planting structured around three tumuli believed to be Bronze Age burial mounds dating from c. 1500 - 2000 BC. Photograph taken from top of one of the tumuli looking south over Syderstone village. |
