Description
English: Two buses in Place Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight. On the right is Wilts & Dorset 402 (HF54 KXU), a Volvo B7TL/East Lancs Myllennium Vyking. It was on loan to Southern Vectis at the time. Passing in the other direction, the bus on the left is Wilts & Dorset 711 (TIL 6711), a Leyland-bodied Leyland Olympian. 711 was part of the Go South Coast events fleet at the time, which was being looked after by Southern Vectis. The buses are both on Southern Vectis route 1. It was Cowes Week at the time, so larger buses were being run on route 1 as duplicates. You could be forgiven for thinking you were actually in Wilts & Dorset's operating area with the amount of their buses in service! 711 is passing the Round House bus stop for Newport-bound services. 402 is a convertible open-topper.
