AI Sauna event was hosted in Helsinki 6–7 May by AvoinGLAM. It gathered Open Culture advocates and creators of the open ecosystem to join the Finnish GLAMs, research projects and companies to envision the future of Open Culture in the age of AI. The event set out to bump different actors together for exchanging their thoughts and making concrete outputs based on the ideas. The two day event consisted of inspire talks and brainstorming at the Finnish National Archives, sauna and sea pool, and a hack day at Maria01. This presentation surfaces ideas explored in the event and recorded by the participants. Löyly is the steam and heat that is formed when sauna bathers throw water on the hot stones of the stove in sauna making the bathers sweat. This old Finno-Ugric word is thought to have originally meant spirit or soul.
