Title: Cartografías Abiertas: una plataforma colaborativa junto a los pueblos originarios de Chaco

Abstract: La exposición versa sobre el desarrollo de un proyecto colaborativo entre Wikimedia Argentina y el Centro de Documentación Indígena del Chaco, para la creación de una plataforma interactiva y multilingüe, que permite visualizar y sumar contenido asociado a proyectos Wikimedia en un mapa creado con la herramienta Wikishootme.

Durante la exposición, referentes del equipo explicarán las distintas etapas de trabajo requeridas para llevar adelante el proyecto “Cartografías Abiertas”, resaltando aspectos positivos de la interacción con los proyectos y herramientas wiki, como así también los obstáculos que se fueron presentando y los aspectos a mejorar a futuro. La meta del proyecto consistió en promover una mayor circulación de las voces indígenas en internet. Para ello se diseñó y desarrolló una plataforma que permite cargar contenido vinculado a la cultura de los pueblos originarios Qom, Wichí y Moqoit, en su propio idioma. Fue necesario registrar, documentar y digitalizar el patrimonio existente en museos y archivos de Chaco, evaluarlos en términos de propiedad intelectual, cargarlos en los proyectos wiki; paralelamente, trabajar sobre WikiShootMe para permitir la carga de archivos a través de la plataforma, y trabajar sobre la traducción de la interfaz en cuatro idiomas. Posteriormente el proyecto implicó viajes a territorio para socializar la herramienta y sumar nuevo contenido por parte de las comunidades.
